Ultrasound helps doctor to monitor the development of fetus in the womb without any side effects. There are few options available when come to pregnancy ultrasound namely 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound. 4D ultrasound technology is relatively new if compared to 2D and 3D. The significant difference between 4D ultrasound and other techniques is its capability in providing live studies of the little one. Unlike the other two methods, 4D images are much lively as the motion is captured by the ultrasound machine. It is therefore commonly known as 3D live images. In fact, all these scans use the some machine. 3D shows the surface of the baby whereas 2D presents the baby in layers. However, the quality of images of the scan is merely depending on the equipment’s quality involved used as well as the expertise of the operator.
