Tony Stewart who is currently on the road to his 3rd Nascar Sprint Cup Championship this year, is a man of many hats.  Not only is he a Nascar champion, he owns a dirt racetrack, the historic Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.  Tony bought the dirt track in 2004 from Earl Bates who built the track in 1954 and had been the only owner the track had ever known.  When Tony heard the famous track was up for sale and in need of major repair and upgrades, he stepped up and bought the facility.  He didn’t want to see a piece of history fade away.  Tony Stewart stated the Prelude to the Dream in 2005.  A late model dirt race that he invited his stock car racing competitors to participate in to raise money for The Victory Junction Gang Camp.  Most Nascar Sprint Cup drivers all started out racing on dirt, well the good ones did anyway.  Tony was able to hand a check over in the amount of $50,000 to Kyle Petty, one of the founders of the Camp for both terminally ill and chronically ill children.
