High heel shoes make women look sexy, but there are consequences that come along with wearing them. Women that wear high heel shoes put themselves at a greater risk of having back pain and bad posture. The high heel puts your foot in a downward position which puts increased pressure on your forefoot. This then causes the rest of your body to adjust to the unnatural position to keep your balance. You’re upper body has to compensate for the position of your lower body and this can cause your body to be strained. Your hip muscles are forced to work harder, your calf muscles can shorten due to the height of the high heel and the shoes can give you blisters, corns and calluses. This is just a few of the issues that wearing high heel shoes can cause. So it is imperative that you try and balance your footwear between high heels and comfortable flat shoes to help prevent any problems that can occur.
