Most people, when choosing sliding door blinds, will opt for vertical blinds, and for good reasons too. Verticals are the most unobtrusive when you are not using them, conveniently tucking away into a corner and out of sight. If you were to put horizontal blinds on a large sliding door, not only would you find the difficult to lift up, but they would also take up a lot of space at the top of your door, and block the views that you are trying to accomplish from having a glass door to begin with.
