Vintage Suitcases

Tag: Traveladmin @ 3:21 pm

You can purchase many types of vintage suitcases on the market. One of the best places to buy a vintage suitcase is on eBay. But, if you are buying a Vintage suitcase for the purposes of travelling, going through modern airports, you really need to buy something which is going to withstand all of the punishment that this entails. Not only does a modern-day suitcase have to withstand the rigours of baggage handlers and taxi drivers, there is also the threat of overzealous security staff at airports to consider. Maybe, the best place to your vintage luggage is as a recyclable commodity. Changing the purpose of a piece of luggage into the storage space for other antique collectables will bring new life to any piece of vintage luggage.

The Logic Behind Personalized Luggage Tags

Tag: Traveladmin @ 4:32 am

Luggage tags are extremely useful and handy to have around. It isn’t just an identification tag that can help you if your bag gets lost, it is also a bag that becomes easier to spot.

Imagine a ton of bags in a train cargo, or an airport carousel with a lot of people milling around trying to grab hold of what they think or assume is their bag. It take time to claim your bag, but with a great looking and unique luggage tag, you can be out of there in seconds.

Many carriers provide personalized luggage tags, but this is for their internal identification purposes, and relying on these luggage tags won’t really benefit you. After all, everyone with you will have a similar tag. You’re better off finding or creating a luggage tag that stands out.

What Makes a Maldives Holiday Special?

Tag: Traveladmin @ 4:28 pm

Maldives holidays are extremely special for a variety of reasons. The weather is sensational, the scenery and beaches spectacular, the food (of which sea food is the local speciality) is tasty and succulent and the people are extremely friendly and laid back.

However, it’s perhaps a government policy which makes The Maldives such a unique holiday destination. The Maldives government has a policy which states that only one resort may be built per island. With over 1,200 islands making up the country, there’s a lot to choose from, but it is this very policy which makes the resorts feel so secluded and special to the holiday maker (perfect for honey-mooners!).

It doesn’t come cheap however, but if you are looking for a luxury get away, there really isn’t anywhere to match a Maldives holiday.

Quick tips for booking online

Tag: Travel @ 5:28 pm

Try to become a member first. The transaction process is much shorter if you log in first because you do not need to enter a lot of data on your transaction.
# Plan your trip in advance (the date of departure and return), it will shorten the search time tickets, although being flexible can also be importnat if you are trying to use airline promotion codes or some other form of coupon.
# Prepare the passenger data, which is named after the identity, date of birth, identity number. Bring your identity card as well as check-in. Some airline does not include online books for babies. Because babies do not need their own seat, you can order in advance adult tickets and contact the contact center or airport ticketing services for passengers baby.
# Prepare the credit card data. Besides the card number, CCV and billing address must be prepared. Try billing address exactly as printed on your bill. The accuracy of this data will make the address verification process to be quick payment. CCV data is highly confidential information, secure data and do not ever give photo copy of credit card back and forth. If the credit card data is entered accurately verification process takes less than 2 minutes, I even once bought a ticket verification Citilink with just 30 seconds.

Everest Towers over the Animal Kingdom

Tag: Traveladmin @ 9:52 pm

Everest is the latest thrill ride that Disney has built and it’s located in Animal Kingdom. You really can’t miss it as you can see the Everest mountain from many places within the park. Ever since it opened it’s become one of the most popular Disney World rides. If you want to ride it, I recommend getting to the park early in the day and grabbing a fastpass for Everest, as they often run out of them by early afternoon.

In addition to the great theming, you are sure to experience a thrill when the Yeti decides to chase you down the mountain. Get ready for some heart-stopping action when it looks like you are going to fly off the edge of a cliff, and then alll of a sudden your roller coaster starts going backwards! It’s all just part of the fun though, and eventually you will get to Everest base camp safely and hopefully in one piece!

What Item Has An U-Top Opening?

Tag: Traveladmin @ 3:09 pm

Last Tuesday I totally sucked at Monogamo when being unable to answer the question on the card saying: “What is this ….. Recessed metal ball bearing wheels provide a smooth and quiet roll, Zipper covered internal handle system, U-top opening for easy access to the main compartment, Large zippered front accessory compartment.” What on Earth could that possibly be?

What item has handle bars, wheels and compartments? I so made a fool out of myself. The people at the party had a good laugh until a kind soul finally explained that the item in question was nothing but a rolling duffle bag. Duh.
Even more embarrassing it was when I recalled that I myself owned one, a Fox Luggage rolling duffle bag even. The premium class in travel equipment at that.

Picking Out Luggage Sets

Tag: Traveladmin @ 11:02 am

Look for sturdy and durable luggage pieces when you are buying expensive stuff and also if you plan to travel a lot. If you are expected to travel on long flights you will need luggage pieces that should have strong clasps and heavy duty zippers so that you don’t have to face embarrassments.

You can pick and choose the type of bags you would like to make your rolling luggage set. You can choose from various bags like rolling duffel bags, flight bags, laptop bags, weekend bags, sports bags, bum bags or the regular suitcases. The bags should be able to meet your packing needs while you travel and remain well organized throughout. They should be spacious and be able to carry all that you may need. Your bags should help you be organized.

Good Travel Books

Tag: Traveladmin @ 6:30 am

For tens of thousands of years cultures the world over were past down from generation to generation via stories told over the campfire. Now, in a different time and a different world it’s now clear that there will always be a place in society for sharing stories especially stories of adventure and interesting experiences. As such, there will always be a place in society for travel stories…but that doesn’t mean there will always be a place for travel books at large. Already it’s clear that the guide books are losing favor with the more technologically advance travelers, and with good reason. With print dates often being months, if not years behind a travelers arrival at a new destination it’s not unusual for entire sections of a guide book to be completely out of date. More importantly, with the proliferation of the internet it’s easier than ever to rectify that problem with no more than a few keystrokes in everyone’s favorite search engine. And if it’s that easy to find one piece of information then why do we need to carry around that book full of largely unnecessary information in the first place? Run for the web, travelers!
