God, I had no idea that getting a canopy bed was going to be such a song and dance. What no body tells you is that there’s so much gear that goes with them. Oh, wouldn’t it be great if you just had to choose the bed frame and the mattress but it really doesn’t end there. What about all the canopy bedding? You will find that four poster beds are too grand just to chuck a duvet on, at least they are according to my wife. In fact according to my wife not only do we need three sets of bedding but two different canopy drapes, for different times of the year and matching bedroom furniture. Yes we have to buy a complete bedroom set so that we have matching bedside tables and wardrobes! I can’t wait to see the credit card bill.
