Jewelry Gem-settings

When talking about jewelry the gem-setting is the part of the ring that holds the gemstones in place. There are many different settings that are used in creating rings and one of the most popular is known as the claw setting. As its name suggests the claw uses little claws to hold a stone in place and does so in a secure manner.

Other settings you might not of heard of but which you come upon when looking for a ring are the likes of the gypsy setting which doesn’t use a claw to hold the stone in place and the similar roman setting which is sometimes used with signet rings. The gem-set ring you choose will come down to personal taste, don’t worry too much about the setting if something catches you eye.

How to Repair a Tub Chair

If you have a damaged tub chair then you have three choices. The first is to get rid of it and buy a new one. The second is to get someone to repair it, and the third is to repair it yourself. The first option is the most expensive unless you can find a really cheap tub chair from a second hand store.

Getting a specialist to repair it will also cost quite a bit of cash, and it will all depend on how damaged it is. If it is just cosmetic then a re-cover should do the trick. This involves stripping away the old fabric and replacing it with new. The result is a chair that looks brand new. Repairing it yourself if the cheapest option, but you really need to know what you are doing before you start.
