Collecting Vintage Halloween Costumes

When I was running around dressed as my favorite super hero every Halloween back in the 1970s, I had no idea that the hot, uncomfortable piece of plastic I was wearing would some day end up on someone’s wish list. Yes, it is true. People collect everything. Even vintage Halloween costumes.

What is sort of funny about people wanting to collect those old costumes, is that I always wanted some kind of cool latex mask. I just ended up with the kind that seems to be collectible now because they were cheaper. It didn’t really bother me. I just wanted to go out and get candy.

I’m not certain why people are buying these up on places like eBay. I guess maybe it is some nostalgic tug they feel. Of course, they might also have some kind of Halloween exhibit set up in their game room too, but that would be just a little bit freaky.

Concrete Floor Sealer Keeps the Water Out

You have two types of concrete floor sealer to choose from. The two are a film forming sealer and a penetrating sealer. They work just as their manes suggest. The film forming sealer forms a film on the surface treated. This works like a protective layer between the surface and the elements. The intact film will always offer good protection to the concrete surface. You can try using concrete stains with it to give the glossy finish a great look.

The concrete surface absorbs the penetrating sealer when it is applied. The sealer makes the surface waterproof and protects it. Concrete stains can add further color to this matt finish. Both the sealers need to removed and applied again after a specified period of time. This helps maintain their efficiency in protecting the concrete surface.

Obviously the most efficient way to stop repossession would be to simply pay your bill. Whether it your car, motorcycle, atv, or even your home to avoid repossession you simply have to pay what you owe. Chances are if it’s to the point of repossession it’s because you don’t have the money. Calling your finance company and letting them know what’s going on is probably the best thing you can do. If they know the lines of communication are open and you’re easy to get in contact with they’re more likely to make a deal with you to get you back on track. Even if you’re only able to pay a portion of what you owe, if you let the finance company know your situation and that you intend to pay, you might be able to stop repossession before it’s too late.

It’s Halloween – Don’t Scare The Kids!

All kids love to dress up in costumes at Halloween. Getting their costumes can be expensive, especially if you have more than one child to cater for. One good place to get ideas for kids Halloween costumes and also to buy cheap costumes is ebay. If you are having a party for the neighborhood kids this Halloween you will have to think up some spooky ideas for food, drinks and decorations. Some traditional games are easy to give a ghostly twist to for older children, but if your kids are pre-school age then don’t make anything too scary…think Caspar the friendly ghost rather than Nightmare on Elm Street! Of course, a lot of children will want to wear costumes that are nothing to do with ghosts, witches or other traditional Halloween themes. A popular costume this year is Indiana Jones kids costumes.

Ultralight Fishing Line

Not all ultralight fishing line is created the same. For instance, monofilament floats on top of the water and is best used while you are fishing top water baits, while fluorocarbon on the other hand is invisible, and sinks, and is best used while you are fishing jigs, spinnerbaits, or pretty much any lure that goes underneath the waters surface. Fluorocarbon is great in clear water because it is almost invisible to the fish, as well as being incredibly sensitive. For the ultimate in sensitivity though, nothing beats a good 10 pound test, with 2 pound test diameter braided line. This type of line does sink, but it allows you to feel every little bump along the bottom, as well as those ever so soft nibbles that the big fish are known for.

Everest Towers over the Animal Kingdom

Everest is the latest thrill ride that Disney has built and it’s located in Animal Kingdom. You really can’t miss it as you can see the Everest mountain from many places within the park. Ever since it opened it’s become one of the most popular Disney World rides. If you want to ride it, I recommend getting to the park early in the day and grabbing a fastpass for Everest, as they often run out of them by early afternoon.

In addition to the great theming, you are sure to experience a thrill when the Yeti decides to chase you down the mountain. Get ready for some heart-stopping action when it looks like you are going to fly off the edge of a cliff, and then alll of a sudden your roller coaster starts going backwards! It’s all just part of the fun though, and eventually you will get to Everest base camp safely and hopefully in one piece!

Buzzing Up the Doorbells

The door bell let’s you knows that someone is at your door. Invented in 1831 by Joseph Henry, it generates a telling sound that you have a visitor when activated by the pressing of the button. They are electrical devices placed perfectly at doorways.

When the button is pressed, the person is really turning on a switch. This simple action actually simply closes an electrical circuit. The switch permits electric current to flow into a signaling apparatus, which could be a buzzer, bell, or a chime. A key element of this signal device is an electromagnet. The electromagnet is composed of an iron bar core bounded by a coiled wire. Electromagnets are temporary magnets. They only become actively magnetized when an electrical current runs through the coiled wire, producing a magnetic field. Still, they may be compared to permanent magnets because they both have polar north and south configurations.
